What is the registry?

The Movement Disorders Research Registry helps our research team connect you with research studies you may be eligible for based on a short questionnaire you complete when joining. We have many studies that we are recruiting for, and each study has it's own set up criteria for being included. Joining the research registry tells our study teams that you're interested in research and are willing to be contacted about opportunities to get involved.

Who can sign up?

Anyone can join! Whether you're living with a movement disorder, like Parkinson's or Essential Tremor, or are a healthy volunteer who wants to help us find a cure - we welcome all ages, diagnoses, and stages of disease

What happens after I join?

After you submit the online consent form, you'll be added to our list. A member of our research team will look at the responses from your questionnaire and determine if you might qualify for any of our current studies. If so, a coordinator from that study will reach out to you to see if you are interested in taking part. If you decide it's not a good fit, no problem! We'll let you know if another study pops up that might be a better fit for you and your life.

Does signing up mean I have to participate?

No! Signing up simply allows our research team to contact you with information about potentials studies you may qualify for. You get to choose if and when you would like to participate. If you signed up for the registry and no longer want to be included, let us know by emailing [email protected] and we will remove you from list.

Why should I participate in research?

Every treatment available to patients today exists because someone like you chose to participate in research. By joining this registry, you are helping us discover the treatments of tomorrow and bringing us one step closer to a cure.
