DBS for OCD

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is currently offered at the UMP St. Louis Park Interventional Psychiatry Clinic through a Human Device Exemption (HDE) from the FDA. This is a form of clinical treatment, not research, for patients with severe OCD. This treatment is most helpful for patients who have done exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy but have gotten "stuck" and are unable to retain their gains. It can also help patients with insufficient medications or intolerable side effects. For more information, don't hesitate to contact the SLP clinic at 952-525-4500.
